It’s not everyday you get to sail aboard a luxurious vessel with two of music greats, from two different musical genres. On April 13 to April 18 2019, the third annual Love and Harmony Cruise will set sail with one of Jamaica’s icon Beres Hammond and one of America’s icons The Manhattans. Embarking on a six (6) days five (5) nights cruise to Ocho Rios Jamaica and Grand Cayman, with an agenda to entertain the cruisers aka harmonizers with their extensive, chart topping catalogue, it is evident this cruise will be an epic voyage.
Beres Hammond considered one of the most talented and recognizable practicing singer/songwriter out of Jamaica. With a calm demeanor and a passionate voice, Hammond has been one of the most successful solo artists from the island of Jamaica, while pouring his soul into a smoky-sweet voice, which has been his instrument of subtlety and prominence for over thirty-years. His cool and calm demeanor off stage is not to be taken lightly as he consistently delivers a powerful and entertaining set each time he hits a stage.
“For the past 2 years on the Love and Harmony Cruise, seeing Beres Hammond perform at sea is a total different experience and vibe as opposed to seeing him on land. You are in the middle of the sea, just you and your harmonizer family along with Beres Hammond in the middle of nowhere. Life cannot get any better than that” says Simone Whitaker of London, UK.
The Manhattans who are no stranger to entertaining cruisers has been confirmed for the Love and Harmony Cruise. When the announcement was made ‘harmonizers’ worldwide were ecstatic to see that the American pop R&B group would set sail with them and perform their hits.
“I grew up hearing the Manhattans, while in Jamaica they were always one of my mom and dad favorites. From their hits ‘Kiss and Say Goodbye’, ‘ Shining Star’ to one of my favorite ‘Forever by Your Side’. I can only imagine how great this cruise will be. I’ve already booked my cabin and ready to set sail” says Marcia Wyatt of Brooklyn, NY.
With Beres Hammond and The Manhattans aboard the Love and Harmony Cruise there is already an expectation of a high level performance and experience from cruisers. “I love the ability to interact with the artists and share the same dining area for breakfast and meet the artists one on one” says Simone Whitaker. As the artists interact with the cruisers whether during breakfast, afternoon activities or after the shows in the clubs, cruisers enjoy the impromptu photo opportunity or quick chats with the artists and look forward for the up -close performances at night.
