CKFG-FM broadcaster Fitzroy Gordon dies

65-year-old Fitzroy Gordon, founder of the Toronto-based radio station CKFG-FM  died on Tuesday.

Gordon who was born in Jamaica is hailed as a leader in the black community and a stalwart in Toronto.

The station became known not only as the radio voice of Toronto’s black and Caribbean community, but also a voice that spoke powerfully to urban issues.
