Yesterday Jamaican singer Dalton Harris proved to the world that his talent is hard to beat!
Since the start of the competition, all the judges on the X-Factor were singing his praises and although there may have been some anxious moments for those watching the live results show, for others there was just utter confidence that this young man would have delivered the goods.
Victory for Harris means he is now on the road to what will catapult him into mega stardom.
There is no doubt that when it comes to talent, he has an abundance of it and Dalton is set to be rewarded with a £1 million (approximately J$162,632,400) recording contract with Syco Records- Simon Cowell’s label owned by Sony.
Witnessing the historic moment for the singer was his mentor Donovan Germain, who came good on the promise made that he would be there if he ever made it to the finals.
Jamaica Minister Entertainment Culture and Sport – Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange also had a front row seat.
Minutes after he was announced the winner, Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness sent congrats via social media.
Jamaicans everywhere are feeling proud and reveling in the moment.
The Caribbean Globe congratulates him on keeping his cool when the heat of negativity and discouragement from said Jamaicans sometimes overshadowed the journey.
Well done, son of the soil.
