Jamaica and India celebrate for Vice President elect Kamala Harris

Americans and the world over is still in celebratory mood on the victory Joe Biden, president elect who will be the 46th president of the United States.

Biden is not the only one that has many feeling proud, Kamala Harris, whose father is a Jamaican is now the vice president elect of the United States and both Jamaica and India – where her mother is from are celebrating this achievement.

It was a glorious moment watching, watching Harris take the stage Saturday night addressing the crowd. The sense of pride could not be denied.

However, it was noted that Harris spent a great deal of time paying kudos to her mother’s side of the family in India but never a word on her Jamaican influence.

Still, who cares, the country and Jamaicans are still jubilant over the huge win.
