Jamaican philanthropist and Island Grill CEO, Thalia Lyn for JBDC Lunch and Learn


Thalia Lyn, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Island Grill chain of fast food restaurants is the next speaker in the JBDC’s Lunch & Learn series.

Lunch & Learn is an initiative of the JBDC’s Business Advisory Services Unit and provides an opportunity for growth stage entrepreneurs to interact with established entrepreneurs of like interests and inclinations.

The initiative was launched in 2017 and has had support from outstanding local entrepreneurs in the persons of Managing Director of Saint International – DeWeight Peters, Group Executive Director for Culture and Human Development at the Jamaica Money Market Brokers, Donna Duncan-Scott and Founder and Chairman of Ready TV, Chris Dehring.

Through their presentations, these outstanding entrepreneurs have shared the story of their entrepreneurial journey by revealing some of the pitfalls and challenges as well as the successes and achievements encountered along the way. They also provide insight on areas including building relationships and networks, starting and sustaining the business and engaging employees and employee relations.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26 at the Knutsford Court Hotel.
