New arrest warrant issue for Red Bull heir over hit and run that left policeman dead

A new arrest warrant has been issued by a Thai Court for the heir to Red Bull over his alleged involvement in a hit and run which left a policeman dead.

Vorayuth “Boss” Yoovidhya, the grandson of billionaire Red Bull co-founder Chaleo Yoovidhya, has been accused of crashing a Ferrari into an on-duty policeman in central Bangkok.

The authorities had initially dropped criminal charges and withdrew an arrest warrant for the heir. However, public criticism of the move has seen the government reviewing the case resulting in a criminal court in Bangkok on Tuesday approving a new arrest warrant on two charges – one previous charge of reckless driving causing death, and a new charge of drug use.
