Reggae/dancehall artist and selector Noah Powa has released the video for “Spend Nuff Money”, which has premiered on BASHY. The sinfle is available on the upcoming Reggae Gold 2020, out on VP Records August 28th. Pre-orders are available beginning today.
Produced by LMR Pro and written by Noah Powa and Versatile, the song is an anthem about making money and enjoying the life that comes with it. In such times as now, the song offers an uplifting vibe. Directed by Kenny Gray, Kevin Donovan and Sytes Media, the comical video shows Noah in a Hustlers Esque situation where a group of women get him drunk and rob him of everything. However, the jokes on them when he leaves a stash of money in an inconspicuous area.
“Everybody always tells me I do a lot of conscious songs so I decided I want to come out the box a little bit,” said Noah Powa on the single. “I didn’t want to go too raunchy, so when I heard the beat, I came up with this whole concept about a pocket full of money and enjoying life.”
2020 marks his second appearance on Reggae Gold, following his debut last year with his song “Keep the same energy”, which was one of the top streamed on the compilation. He was also one of the Reggae Gold artists to be featured on Power 105.1’s Breakfast Club host Angela Yee’s first annual Angela Yee Day event last year and demand for his performances continues to increase.
