England player Raheem Sterling to return to World Cup

After experiencing a break-in at his British house, Raheem Sterling will re-join the England World Cup team.

The Chelsea attacker missed his country’s 3-0 victory over Senegal in the round of 16 on Sunday because he had left England’s camp in Qatar to be with his family.

To rejoin Gareth Southgate’s team ahead of Saturday’s quarterfinal match against France at Al Bayt Stadium in Al Wakrah, south of Doha, he will now take a flight back out.

The English Football Association announced on Thursday that “Raheem Sterling will return to England’s World Cup base in Qatar.”
