Guyanese women arrested in connection with cocaine seizure at Sangster International Airport

In connection with a multi-million dollar cocaine bust at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James, two Guyana women were detained last night.

As security personnel performed a normal inspection of their checked bags, the illicit substances were discovered there.

The total weight of the cocaine was 21 pounds.

The women were apprehended as they were getting ready to board a Virgin Atlantic flight for London.
