Burning Spear To Set Sail on Jamrock Cruise

Two-time Grammy award winner and living legend, Burning Spear will now take his 50-year musical career on the seas as a first in his illustrious career as he performs on the annual Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise.

After a six year hiatus from the stage since his retirement in 2016 the Marcus Garvey singer will perform on the Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise starting December 7, 2022. The six-day, five-night chartered cruise currently on the Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas cruise ship sails from Miami, Florida to Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, Jamaica offering live musical acts from Jamaica’s best.

Patrons of the annual music charter can expect a Grammy star studded lineup as Burning Spear joins Dancehall and Reggae icons, Shabba Ranks and Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, and many more soon to be announced.

Dan Dalton, Damian’s long time manager and partner in the Welcome to Jamrock Cruise confirmed. “After taking an unanticipated two year hiatus it’s an honor to return with one the greatest and most important reggae artists of all time. We are also excited to announce the full 2022 WTJRC lineup in the near future,” he explained.

Excited about his return to the stage, Burning Spear has taken to his Facebook page to promote his performance. “Yes Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise . Yes Damian Marley let’s do this,” Spear remarked in a recent repost of a Jamrock Reggae Cruise promotional video of Burning Spear performing his song Burning Reggae.
