Dr KJ  to open the Floodgates and Embrace the Promise 

On Friday, February 11 and Saturday,  February 12 gospel artiste and clinical psychologist Dr KJ will be launching his book and album at the Omega Church in Florida and Bryn Mawr Church of God in Philadelphia, USA respectively.

Dr KJ whose real name is Kevin Waite will be offering a double whopper for his fans with the inspirational book entitled Embrace the Promise which beautifully explains the reasons that brought a positive change in his life. The book gives valuable inspiration to the readers about having a balanced approach to life.

To cement the spiritual diet for the soul, Dr KJ’s album Floodgates comes chock full of gospel gems which provides balm to the soul. Among the tracks on the album are “Floodgates”, “I will rise, a collaboration with Jermaine Edwards”, Joy come inna the morning, a collaboration with Prodigal Son”, Anchor, a collaboration with Joan Flemmings” and “I am not leaving”

Dr. KJ in sharing about the album and book launch said it is a win win situation for all who attend. “Music and the written word, it doesn’t come any better than that. It is my hope that both products will bless the spirit and aid in building a closer relationship with the Lord,” he said of the event.

The launch will feature friends of the artiste who are expected to give some explosive performances Saturday. Among the featured performers are Joan Flemmings, Judith Gayle​, Keesa Peart, Golda McFarlane, Jabez and Prodigal Son.

Sunday, February 13, Dr. KJ will climax the tour in New York at the Grace Deliverance Tabernacle located at 650 Remsen Avenue in Brooklyn. The event kicks off at 6:30pm.

Dr KJ who is based in the United States said his love affair with music began at age 10 when he attended a church rally with his father. A past student of Frome Technical High School in Westmoreland, he strengthened his love of music as a member of the Soul 4 Soul acapella group. 
As Dr KJ balances work and his musical career, he said under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, he has so much more to unleash.
