The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is mourning the sudden passing of referee Wilverglen Lamey, who collapsed and died while officiating a Kingston and St. Andrew Football Association Business House semi-final match between Metrodade Security and Seprod at the Alpha Institute on South Camp Road, Kingston.

Lamey, 48, was a longstanding and dedicated member of the Jamaican football community, known for his years of service officiating across all levels of the sport.

“Mr. Lamey was a familiar figure at games throughout the country, always ready to step up and take charge, no matter the competition,” said JFF President Michael Ricketts. “He served with quiet dignity, ensuring the smooth conduct of matches. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and the entire referee fraternity. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
