Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw Nominated for 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or

Manchester City star Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw has been named among the nominees for the prestigious 2024 Women’s Ballon d’Or, an award recognizing the best female footballer in the world. Shaw is one of 30 players shortlisted for this honor, marking her second consecutive nomination after her first in 2023.

The Jamaican striker had an outstanding season, earning multiple accolades, including being named Player of the Year at the Women’s Football Awards in June. She also claimed the Women’s Super League (WSL) Player of the Season and the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year titles. Shaw secured the WSL Golden Boot, scoring 21 goals in just 18 matches before her season was cut short due to a broken foot.

The 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place in Paris on October 28.
