Men busted for stealing $2M worth of corned beef

Lawmen assigned to the Spanish Town Police arrested and charged four men with Simple Larceny and Conspiracy to Simple Larceny following an incident on Salt Pond Road, Spanish Town, St. Catherine on Wednesday, January 5.

Charged are:
• Twenty-six-year-old Richard Jarrett, receivable clerk,
• Twenty-one-year-old Tahj-J Russell, loss prevention officer
• Thirty-year-old Tordel Henry, loss prevention officer of Westchester, Portmore, St. Catherine and
• Thirty-two-year-old Jermaine Johnson, security officer of Angels Grove, Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

Reports are that all four men stole three pallets of corned beef valued at JMD 2,000,000. The Police were contacted and an investigation was conducted, all four men were arrested and charged after an interview with their attorney.

They are to appear before the St. Catherine Parish Court on Wednesday, February 23.
