Reggae Girlz take historic World Cup point against France

Jamaica made history in their Women’s World Cup campaign by earning their first-ever World Cup point in a hard-fought 0-0 draw against France. Despite being the underdogs, the Jamaican team showed great determination and resilience as they hassled and harried the French, denying them a winning start to the tournament.

The highlight of the match came in the 90th minute when French forward, Kadidiatou Diani, came close to scoring the winner, but her powerful header hit the bar and then the post before bouncing out. It was a moment of jubilation for the Jamaican players and fans as they celebrated their well-deserved point.

Despite ultimately losing their star striker, Khadija Shaw, to a red card in stoppage time, Jamaica showcased their fighting spirit and proved that they are a force to be reckoned with in the competition.
