
PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC – An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale shook two Caribbean countries early Tuesday morning. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or damage following the tremor.
The Seismic Research Centre (SRC) of the St Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies, said that the tremor was recorded at 4.57 a.m. (local time) and was located Latitude: 11.13N, Longitude: 61.94W at a depth of 10 kilometres (km).
The SRC said it was felt 70 km North West of Port of Spain, 91 km North West of Arima, east of the capital, and 104 km, south south west of St George’s, Grenada’s capital.
