Vybz Kartel just got engaged to his long-time girlfriend Sidem Öztürk after getting out of prison. The 48-year-old dancehall star popped the question in a touching moment that was caught on video and shared on Instagram. He showed a lot of love and gratitude for Sidem, who’s from Turkey and lives in London.
They started dating long-distance back in 2015 when Kartel was locked up and have kept their connection strong with their YouTube channel, Kiss Me Baby.
Before this, Kartel was married to Stacy Elliott in 2006, but they split two years later. He has three kids with his ex Tanesha ‘Shorty’ Johnson and in total four kids with different partners. Even with his past, this proposal is a fresh start for him, and he’s excited to marry Sidem.
