‘Whisper’ wins senior call-up after stellar schoolboy football campaign

Dujuan “Whisper” Richards, a star player for Kingston College, is one of 32 local players called up by Reggae Boyz head coach Heimir Halgrimsson for a two-day camp at the University of the West Indies (UWI) beginning on Tuesday, January 17.

At Kingston College, the 17-year-old had a standout schoolboy season, scoring 30 goals in the just-completed ISSA schoolboy tournaments. He also stood out last weekend for the urban All-Manning squad against the all-Dacosta team from the rural area, scoring in the 34th minute.

The Reggae Boyz squad announced on Tuesday is completed by Kemar Foster, Ramone Howell, Ricardo Thomas, Peter McGregor, Trivante Stewart, Ky-Mani Campbell, Demario Phillips, Devonte Campbell, Jamoi Topey, Tafari Chambers, Shaquille Dyer, Sue-Lae McCalla, Alwayne Harvey, Odane Murray, Eric Edwards, Kimani Arbouine, Earl Simpson, Ajuma Johnson, Richard King, Dwayne Atkinson, Collin Anderson, Kyle Ming, Jeadine White, Gawain Austin, Oshane Staple, Colorado Murray, Jahshaun Anglin, Nicholas Hamilton, Okeemo Jones, Malachi Douglas and Jason Wright.
