Usain Bolt’s lawyers have requested a court order for the sole accused in the alleged fraud at Stocks & Securities Limited (SSL) to confirm whether assets have been moved at two Jamaican banks.
The request was made four months after the law firm went public and demanded that SSL repay the $12 million embezzled from the sprint legend, threatening to take legal action against the company and its directors.
The court application is being filed by Bolt’s holding company, Welljen, which he used to open an account at the private investment and brokerage firm in 2012.
Bolt’s legal representatives are seeking for the accused woman, Jean-Ann Panton, to reveal any transactions involving financial institutions to reinforce a freezing order they obtained against her assets in February.
