Jamaica’s men finish fifth in the World Athletics nation’s rankings

The Jamaican men’s athletics team placed fifth in the most recent World Athletics standings following their performances at the 2022 World Athletics Championship hosted in Oregon.

Overall, the Jamaican men were able to score 20 points, which is the same as Ethiopia and Uganda, two African countries.

The men’s team from the United States came in first with 118 points, followed by Kenya with 46 points, the United Kingdom with 28 points, and Canada with 24 points.

With 10 medals total—two gold, seven silver, and one bronze—Jamaica came in third place overall. The 4×400 men’s relay team, which won a silver medal, had the best performance.
