Tory Lanez told Megan Thee Stallion ‘Dance’ as he shot her: prosecutor

According to testimony given to a jury in Los Angeles on Monday, during an altercation with Megan Thee Stallion in Hollywood, rapper Tory Lanez yelled at her feet, “Dance, b****.”

In connection with a 2020 argument with the rap queen, Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson, is accused of a number of offences, including assault with a semiautomatic handgun and using a firearm to cause grave bodily injury.

According to prosecutor Alexander Bott, Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, got into an argument as they left a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s residence in July 2020 while wearing bikinis.

The “Hot Girl Summer” singer insulted Lanez and demanded to be allowed out of the posh SUV they were travelling in, according to Bott, who testified before the jury. Lanez yelled at her, “Dance, bitch,” and fired five shots at her as she stood in the middle of the road.

Before leaving the scene again and getting back into the car, which was then halted by police, she left a trail of blood behind. Near where Lanez had been sitting, a gun that was still warm to the touch was discovered on the ground, according to Bott.

“Help… Tory shot meg,” a female friend texted Megan Thee Stallion’s security team shortly after the incident.
